Synopsis
Once a popular and effective mobile communication service in the 1980s-90s, paging has since fallen by the wayside as mobile phones and associated services have risen to prominence. Although paging and Trunk Mobile Radio (TMR) services still exist in Africa, information and statistics are notoriously difficult to obtain for the service.
