Synopsis

POWEREDCOM is majority owned by Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO). It was reborn in April 2003, from the merger of POWEREDCOM, a nationwide provider of data communication for corporates, and Tokyo Telecommunication Network (TTNet), owner of a fibre optic network in the Tokyo metropolitan area. POWEREDCOM offers local, domestic long-distance and international fixed-line telecom services, as well as dial-up and ADSL Internet access, and provides high-speed, large-capacity data communication services. Through its subsidiary Power Nets Japan (PNJ), POWEREDCOM offers end-to-end services over a 220,000km nationwide fibre optic network.
