Synopsis

Formed in 1939, Loxley is a diversified Thai conglomerate with ventures in information technology, telecommunications, import/export, industrial manufacturing, energy generation, transportation and others. Its IT and telecommunications interests include installation of fixed-line and cellular transmission and switching networks; manufacture of fibre optic cable; satellite services; fixed-line and cellular operations; marketing of cellular phones; Internet, e-commerce, multimedia software and services; carrier grade IP solutions; Web hosting and co-locations services. In 1998, the company narrowly survived the Asian financial crisis by restructuring debt and selling non-core operations.
