Synopsis

This report covers the ten countries expected to join the EU on 1 May 2004: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Cyprus and Malta. All have been required to align their telecommunications regulation and legislation with that of the EU as part of the membership qualification process.
