Synopsis

A huge disparity in the level of development exists in the area – this is not a homogenous market. Slovenia has levels of mobile and Internet penetration that exceed those of several Western European nations. In contrast Belarus has mobile penetration of approximately 0.5% and Internet penetration of less than 2%. There is also a big gap between rural and urban areas.
