Synopsis
A description is given of the various components of Telstra’s infrastructure. This includes fixed-line – PSTN, switching, the SDH network, the CAN, data networks and broadband networks including Foxtel, cable modem and ADSL. Mobile networks include GSM and CDMA digital networks together with their delivery systems, including satellites. A description is also given of Telstra’s involvement in international cable systems, its international agreements and its wholesale operations.
