Synopsis

This report has been archived and has not been updated. Telstra appears to have manoeuvred itself into a bit of a corner. It continues to behave aggressively, but its options are narrowing. The company has been unable to gather support for its pro-monopoly stance. While it appeared as if Sol Trujillo’s brave vision statement would spur Telstra into action, into the brave new world of convergence, instead the company opted for a year of delays and time wasting, as it has protected its old telephony markets. This report provides a wide range of analyses in relation to Telstra’s current corporate strategies during 2006.
