At the start they expected to reach 100,000 residential customers within their first year. The company signed its wholesale agreements with AAPT, RSLCom and Telstra. TeleOne hopes it will win around 500,000 customers before larger companies, including Telstra drop call prices further. Just after a month of its big launch the company sacked, in May 2002, half of its staff.
