Synopsis

Archived report. This report was archived in 2008 and has not been updated since. The Internet continues to play an increasingly important role in the personal and commercial lives of North Americans. The deployment of broadband has spurred on the growth of Internet use as broadband has significantly increased the range of uses available to users and the utility of those uses and degree of user satisfaction. In Latin America broadband has been growing steadily in most countries, and there is considerable room for expansion. Although the situation varies considerably from country to country, the region as a whole should be a fertile ground for broadband investment. This report provides an overview on the broadband market in the Americas.
