Synopsis

Primus Telecommunications is an international telecommunications company offering domestic and international voice, data services to business and residential retail customers and other carriers located in the United States, Canada, Brazil, the United Kingdom, continental Europe, Australia, India and Japan. It has 18 domestic and international gateway switches throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia, and has approximately 250 points of presence within it’s principal service regions and other markets. In 2001 its financial problems became pressing and at the end of 2001 it began discussions with its lenders with regard to restructuring its debt. By the end of 2002, it had substantially reduced it’s debt, obtained additional funding and improved its operations to become cash positive.
