Synopsis
People Telecom provides a range of telecommunication products and services including voice (mobile and fixed), data (broadband and VPN), and VoIP products. People Telecom utilises its own national data network and other carrier networks, equipment suppliers and other providers, including Telstra, Optus, PowerTel, Nextep and AAPT. It has a national data virtual private IP network delivering business-grade data services. People Telecom also supplies broadband, mobile and fixed voice services on a wholesale basis to ISPs and telcos throughout Australia. In October 2007 People Telecom launched a 3G mobile and wireless broadband service over 3G HSDPA called Wireless2Go. In April 2009, the company was bought my M2 for $19 million. This archived report (Oct 2009) describes People’s activities until the time of its sale.
