Synopsis

Greenphone is a new regional telecommunications venture set up by the 19 regional Councils within the Greater Green Triangle region. The business is owned by the Councils through the medium of a unit trust, in which they each hold units. Any profits generated will be returned to the Council and therefore the community stands to benefit. Telephone numbers, phone handsets and fax machines do not need to change.
