Synopsis

Archived report: this report was archived in August 2005 and was last updated in June 2004. Diveo Broadband Networks is a private company owned by US investors. It operates Internet Data Centres (IDCs) in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Miami, and fixed wireless broadband networks in Brazil and Colombia. Diveo's backbone and local networks are made up of ATM and IP technologies, which enable secure, dedicated broadband links. The ATM-based network ensures confidentiality by giving each customer a separate virtual circuit that is completely isolated from other customers. The backbone interconnects Diveo’s IDCs, thus facilitating the rapid exchange of large amounts of data across borders.
