Synopsis

In August 2001, as a result of its dire financial position, Davnet divested itself of its overseas operations, a move advocated by us in 1999. It launched operations in March 1998 through its main operating division, Davnet Telecommunications (DavTel). In February 1999, Davnet acquired ISP Magna Data, provider of aggregated Internet and data broadband services. The company had at the time of the take-over 4,000 corporate customers, mainly in CBD areas.
