Synopsis

Very few significant IT&T policies have been introduced by the current Liberal Government. The last major initiatives date back to the early and mid-1990s. The last major policy statement was issued in December 1997 and included the government’s response to the Mortimer, Goldsworthy and Cutler reports. This statement encompassed a range of industry initiatives, and this report addresses the key information industry policies. Importantly, this report notes the progress that has been made with regards to the individual policies.
