Australia - Cinema and Video Industry


The distribution companies are the companies that control the film copyrights. They buy the films from the producers and/or bring film products into the country. The market is dominated by four companies; the top two Roadshow and UIP have a combined marketshare of around 80%. Roadshow Film Distributors, a 50-50 joint venture with Village Roadshow Limited and Greater Union.
