In May 1996, it signed a three-year interconnect agreement with MFS to aid Ameritech’s entry into long-distance telephony. 101 franchises covering 4.0 million total population in Illinois, Ohio and Michigan The properties that were sold include nearly 1.5 million wireless customers in Chicago, St. Ameritech’s Americast cable service provides more than 80 channels of video programming.Related Reports
