Founded in 1998, Agile Communications was the first regional company to receive a national Australian Telecommunications Carrier licence. The company owns and operates a carrier-grade broadband IP backbone network with nodes in several townships in regional South Australia and in the major capital cities along the east coast. Agile offers voice telephony services to residential and business customers, and wholesale data and Internet services to ISPs, corporations and government customers, mainly in South Australia. The company has close links to its sister company, Internode, which provides broadband Internet access and other ISP services over the Agile network.
