Synopsis

360networks is a broadband network services provider that was originally developing an extensive global fibre optic network. This network provided telecommunications companies, Internet Service Providers, Application Service Providers and other data-driven customers a range of global, portable and scalable network solutions faster and more cost-efficiently. During 2002, the company restructured under bankruptcy protection to get out of serious financial difficulties. This involved the divestment of all activities outside the US and Canada and the curtailing of its global plans. The remaining North American network is one of the largest on the continent, providing seamless connectivity between major cities throughout the United States and Canada.
