Synopsis

The business sector as a whole is a key driver of telecommunications and IT services take-up, though there is considerable variation between the different business sectors due to perceptions on the efficacy of telecom and IT, and the actual nature of the different businesses. This report uses ABS data to isolate the different major industries in the economy and how they each use telecom and IT services. Most of the data is for 2000, 2001 and 2002, presenting valuable snapshots of sector behaviour at these times to inform market research in the present.
