Synopsis
While, for the most part, the IT industry remains separate from telecommunications, these industries are gradually growing closer together. I predict that, in ten years’ time, 90% of the telecommunications industry will revolve around IT. This will involve a massive transformation of the telecoms industry and will have far-reaching consequences for the incumbent, which is still largely based on big iron telco equipment.
