Synopsis

This report was archived in 2005. At the 2003 PLC Summit a special interest group was formed from participants throughout the industry, government and user groups. During the year a robust discussion continued leading up to the 2nd Summit in 2004. A critical note questioning the viability of broadband powerlines triggered an interesting debate. The report shows reactions from both the supporters of the technology and those who are critical of its cost, performance and interference problems.
