Synopsis

After a period of patchy growth following a global economic downturn and a worldwide telecommunications recession, Asia has commenced a healthy consolidation right across its telecommunications sector. The developed economies of Asia have started their expansion into advanced networks and value added services, leading the world in many respects. The developing markets are generally starting to move forward in the building of infrastructure and reforming of the marketplace. Not surprisingly, the Asian mobiles growth continues and in broadband Internet Asia is a global leader. This report takes a general look at the Asian telecommunications market.
