TelstraClear is New Zealand’s second largest full service telecommunications company, providing products and services to the business, government, wholesale and residential sectors. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Telstra, the largest telco in Australia. TelstraClear provides a full range of voice, data, broadband Internet, mobile, managed services and digital cable TV products and services to the New Zealand market.
It also offers triple play services over cable networks in Wellington and Christchurch. TelstraClear believes that it is well placed nationally because of its fibre assets which will allow the company to extend its network as a backbone to sell voice data, broadband and other types of bundles of products and services. Meanwhile the operations of the telco will be come clearer in 2010 as in December 2009 it was announced that Telstra would operate both the New Zealand and Australian businesses as a single trans-Tasman market.
