Analyst: Paul Budde

Synopsis

While putting on a brave front, Telecom initially seemed to be in shock, but it has since recovered well. At the same time the company has indicated in unequivocal terms that it will work with these changes. I still remain cautiously optimistic and hope for a more cooperative approach, along the lines of BT in the UK. If Telecom is serious it will want to quickly resolve some of the industry issues in relation to UBS.
