Analyst: Paul Budde

Synopsis

In December 2005 I visited New Zealand, organised several industry roundtables, and had in-depth discussions with the various players. The country has not yet made the tough policy decisions necessary for it to move into the converged markets of telecoms, IT and media, which is essential to fully utilise the economic and social benefits of the Internet economy. Policies are analysed, as well as the leading companies involved and the key markets that are at the core of the developments.
