While Google still concentrates on its search engine services it has also become an innovative leader and player in not only the online digital media arena but also the mobile space. Its recent announcements regarding Motorola Mobility, Google+, Google Wallet, Google Offers, and YouTube Rentals indicate this company is again making important strategic moves that it hopes will position it well for the future. In addition, Google is closing down some services which have failed to take hold, such as PowerMeter and Google Health. Google’s moves are often influential - even if they aren’t profitable.
Recently Google has begun to make major strategic moves; Google has entered the m-wallet space; it has expanded its VoD offerings; it is developing a location-based deals service.
