Global - Infrastructure - Overview (Archived)

Synopsis

This report provides an overview of the key principles behind regulations and how this is organised around the globe. With limited results, the challenges for the future are to create effective competition in a market dominated by IT rather than telecoms. One of the key drivers of change behind the changes that have effected the incumbents has been privatisation. However, there needs to be a balance between shareholders issues and the business issue. Ultimately the value lies in running a successful business. The realty of the early 00s will result in massive industry changes between 2003 and 2005.
