At the start of the year it was expected there would be over 200 LTE networks in commercial operation worldwide by the end of 2013. This forecast is well on track with 222 commercial networks already in operation as of October 2013. Spending on LTE infrastructure spending may diminish temporarily towards the end of 2014 as many operators finish up their initial LTE deployments.
