Lithuania has a small but developing telecoms market. A number of alternative operators have launched services although incumbent TEO still dominates. Fixed-line subscriber numbers are declining due to fixed-to-mobile substitution. A number of alternative operators offer services although the incumbent still dominates the market. Following the onset of competition TEO has shifted its attention to broadband and convergence offerings in a bid to find new revenue sources. Network development by the incumbent has consequently been geared towards accommodating increased broadband usage.
