US mobile data sector continued to enjoy strong growth (at around 60%) in 2007 as operators aggressively developed data applications that drive data service revenues and ARPU. In Canada, as in the US, while voice ARPU is declining, ARPU from data transfer is steadily growing. The Latin American mobile data and mobile content markets are promising growth areas for investors. This report provides an overview on the mobile data market in the Americas.
