Singapore’s reputation for a truly progressive telecommunications market over the past three decades has been built on its excellent infrastructure. While the nation’s geographical situation has been of considerable advantage in putting its infrastructure in place, other factors, including the government’s strong commitment to developing telecommunications, have certainly helped. Singapore was one of the first countries in the world to have a fully digital telephone network. In this report we look at Singapore’s domestic and international infrastructure. International infrastructure includes submarine cable and satellite networks.
