United Kingdom - Internet - Market Overview and ISPs

Archived report: this report was archived on 11 July 2005 and has not been updated. The report brings together wide-ranging research and data on the Internet market in the UK in 2004. Historical data and research from Oftel and Ofcom is presented on the business and residential Internet markets. This includes information on broadband, metered and unmetered access plans, the Flat Rate Internet Call Origination (FRIACO) environment, and the leading ISPs. Oftel research on the consumer and business markets is also included in this report. In June 2004, 15.1 million subscriptions to Internet services in the UK were active, 4.4 million of them over broadband. 53% of UK households had Internet connections.
