Synopsis

Archived report: this report was archived in September 2003 and has not been updated. This report brings together a range of research and statistics demonstrating the state of the British online services sector in 2003, including developments in e-government, e-education, e-health, and content in the form of streamed media and games, just to name a sample. The Office of the E-Envoy (OeE) was set up at the height of the dot com boom in 1999 with a wide ranging remit to promote the ‘e-agenda’ and it is the focus of much British activity, despite renewed criticism in 2003.
