Telstra Corporation Limited - Company Overview and Operating Statistics

Synopsis

Telstra is Australia’s largest telecommunications provider offering a full range of telecom services throughout Australia. The company provides basic access services to most homes and businesses, local and long-distance telephone call services, and mobile and internet services including over eight million fixed lines and more than 12.5 million mobile connections.

Wholesale services are also provided to ISPs and RSPs while advertising and subscription television services are provided through subsidiary companies. In late 2011 Telstra considered wholesaling mobile services on the Next G network, as in the past only 2G mobile services were wholesaled.
