Technology - Wireless - Broadband 8 - 802-16 WiMAX PHY

Synopsis

This report provides an overview of the IEEE 802.16 standards and the role of the WiMAX Forum in defining profiles for these standards, testing equipment and developing higher level network protocols. We describe techniques of the mobile 802.16e standard, including OFDMA, sub-channelisation, fractional frequency reuse, hybrid automatic repeat request and turbo coding.
