Synopsis

In this report we discuss CDMA2000, 1x EV-DO and Qualcomm’s proposed, but now abandoned, 4G Ultra Mobile Broadband (UMB). We discuss the 3GPP’s IP Multimedia Subsystem, an overarching framework for telco-based services including VoIP and Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC).
