Synopsis

A description is given of the technologies used for broadcasting, for digital radio, TV, both terrestrial and satellites. A description is also given of the competing broadcasting standards, particularly DAB, DVB, ATSC, the Mobile TV standards DVB-H and DMB. Also described are interactive TV, and especially MHP, and compare it with the various other STB middleware approaches that it looks likely to replace.
