Synopsis

Request is a private Australian company that is a facilities-based wholesaler of DSL-based broadband Internet access and VPN solutions. It was acquired by PowerTel Ltd in March 2004, previously being controlled by Hong Kong-based Telecom Venture Group. The company sells its broadband solutions to SMEs throughout Australia through a national network of licensed channel partners. Request owns and operates a Cisco-based broadband network in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. The network extends to other cities and regional centres by integrating with Telstra’s DSL network. Through ASPs, it also offers VoIP, videoconferencing, Internet hosting and remote access services.
