Regional - Infrastructure - VoIP & NGNs in Asia Pacific - 2007

Synopsis

Archived report. This report was archived in 2008 and has not been updated since. Although uptake has not been as fast as originally expected, VoIP is gaining ground. Initial quality problems are being overcome, but it still mainly resides on the PC. It is expected that the development of VoIP will further reduce the revenues of telcos. China has quickly established itself as the world’s biggest user of VoIP services. This report provides an overview of VoIP and NGNs in Asia and Australasia, primarily in 2006/2007 and includes China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailad, Australia and New Zealand.
