With traditionally poor fixed-line network infrastructure in most African countries, the extent of Broadband on the continent is still limited. However there are very encouraging developments taking place. In the Middle East mobile penetration throughout the region is very high; however, penetration by broadband is generally still very low. This report provides an overview of the broadband market in Africa and a brief summary of the market in the Middle East.
