Synopsis

In this report we provide financial summaries for Optus over the financial years 2011/12 as well as the previous company financial years of 2010/11 with the information provided in text, tabular and easy-to-read chart formats.

For the latest financial year, results include revenue and EBITDA for each main operating division of Mobile, Business, Wholesale, Consumer and SMB fixed; revenue breakdowns for each service division of Mobile, Voice, Internet, Data and IP, Satellite, ICT and Managed Services, and a detailed breakdown of revenue within each of these service divisions. Highlights of the Optus company history are included.

While a decrease in revenue has now occurred as a result of a decrease in mobile termination access (MTAS) fees, the NBN interim satellite service contract is providing a financial bonus for the company with an overall 13% increase in satellite payments in FY2012. Overall the revenue increased by 1% year-on-year in FY2012.
