New Zealand - Telecommunications - Revenue Forecasts - 2005 - 2015

Synopsis

This report has been archived. While the industry is currently experiencing revenue rebalancing and cannibalisation, the underlying market growth factors remain high. Demand for all telecoms services continues to be very high, to the extent that demand for high-speed infrastructure will outperform supply. This means significant growth in new IP-based Next Generation Network (NGN) systems, once Telecom New Zealand has its NGN up and running. That, in turn, will open up new revenue opportunities for digital media services, applications, video content hosting and distribution. Therefore all the parties involved are looking at a bright future. By the end of 2015 fibre-to-the-home and wireless broadband will be widely available and will be used by the telecoms, IT and media industries.
