Netherlands - Digital Media Developments


Synopsis

The Australia-New Zealand Broadband Study and Trade Mission to The Netherlands took place in March 2007. At the conclusion of the Mission the participating countries resolved to further explore the various applications related to the new media. Both Australia and The Netherlands have advanced programs in place that can benefit organisations on both sides of the world. The governments involved have also indicated that their policy focus has shifted from broadband access to broadband applications. This report covers the major digital media activities in The Netherlands: Storytable, Pilotus, Culture Grid, Fabchannel, The Culture Factory, Media Guild, CineGrid, Salto and Locative Media.
