Synopsis
The building of Malaysia’s telecommunications infrastructure has seen extensive fibre optic networks installed across the length and breadth of the country. This report describes how the country has continued to allocate capital to invest in information technology and telecommunications infrastructure despite setbacks caused by periods of difficult regional and global economic conditions. No matter how difficult things became, the government has continued to support its strategic projects. The end result is that projects like the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) have continued to flourish.
