Synopsis
Lithuania has a small but developing telecoms market. A number of alternative operators have launched services although incumbent TEO is still the dominant operator. The steady decline in fixed-line subscriber numbers, attributed to fixed-to-mobile substitution, has been halted due to the popularity of fixed line broadband services, which forms the focus of TEO’s future growth strategy. This report provides an overview of the Lithuania’s fixed-line communications sector, accompanied by various informative statistics, an overview of regulatory developments, telecommunications network infrastructure and incumbent operator TEO.
