Global - Telecoms - Managed Service Application Provision (MASP-ASP)

Synopsis

Archived report. This report was archived in March 2005 and has not been updated. Application Service Providers (ASP) and provision has been much talked about since the 1990s, and expectations were high that the market would take off and become a major sector in the IC&T industry. What has happened is that the telco crises has set these developments back by 3-5 years. Expect MASP to take off between 2005-2008. This report explained what the term refers to, including the MASP concept, who can benefit from ASPs, the major players and the factors which will lead MASP out of its present malaise.
