Archived report. This report was archived in 2010 and has not been updated since. Mobile ARPU levels differ widely between the regions of the world; however on the whole all regions have experienced declines in ARPU over the past few years – and this is set to continue in the current economic environment. In addition, subscriber growth is mainly coming from the lower-income emerging markets, where monthly mobile ARPU can be as little as $3.

This report provides a broad overview of global mobile ARPU developments, including an historical account and information on current ARPU trends and statistics. The report also includes an overview of mobile phone minutes of use and trends in mobile service packages. Overall mobile industry revenue growth and mobile operator CAPEX is also provided. Brief data for selected countries, regions and carriers is provided when used for supporting examples.
