Synopsis
While SMS remains a major growth area for mobile operators in terms of traffic volumes, even in 2009; it is thought that revenues may feel the impact of market saturation and competitiveness. Other messaging services such as MMS, IM and UC are expected to grow and generate new revenues to fill some if this gap, however the current economic environment may curb this growth in the short term as enterprises reign in spending on telephony products.
