It is especially important for governments, in particular, to abandon silo thinking – in other words, if governments are serious about adopting cloud computing, they will first have to address the ingrained silo-based systems that are in operation within the bureaucracy, where different government agencies and departments have their own solutions and infrastructure.
This comes back to the same principles that BuddeComm has been addressing for many years in relation to national broadband infrastructure, which, like cloud computing, is a shared environment.
